I know someone who has one, he is completely senile, his family are basically waiting for him to pass to sell it.
He has been asked about selling it but insists he'll drive it again, in the mean time he lives in a run down house and does without a lot of things he could have.
You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink.

well shaker, with your username and this thread we are all waiting for your pics,is it a ho or gt you have stashed? :)

I wish I had either one but unfortunately I don't. I need to win lotto or find a huge reef that has not been discovered to get one now by the looks of it. I do know of one genuine phase 3 in our area of the world however.

I had a Xy falcon that I used as a Hunting Bush basher at Minnal station near toobeer qld ..Left it there 20years ago..Always wondered what happened to it.

Geoffrey Thompsons kicking himself thats for sure! It was his car originally he bought brand new.

My Dad... I told him when I was a Kid, that it is a 'Special' car... Noooo son what would you $%^%$ know... Traded it in on a new XB Panel Van. Trade in Price ?? $ 3200 in the Day for a 351 GT XY HO Falcon faze 3. White Colour.... He Realised I was Right and 'did ' have something Special, when I showed him a mag with the specs of the GT Falcons... About 20 yrs Later.... And their value started to gain... If Only I can go back in time..... :brokenh: 8.(

LW...

I had one and the GS version and the XW and the XB GT Coupe, I still miss them, they were a lot of fun, No doubt the new cars might be quick and more refined But Those GT HO PH3 were very brutal the way the power came out which was the main attraction, Oh Happy Happy Times. :Y:

always wanted one, never did though, but if i find the hand of gt i'm buying one

Back in 83 I bought an XW V8 complete with metallic Dark Green paint and SupaRoo Stipes for $995.00. Who ever built it knew their stuff because back then there was not much that could Touch It, That was my favourite Car, I had a few that were quicker but that was the one for me. :Y:

A few of my mates had them, there were also a lot of fakes around. Saw a few of them written off as well after being driven a bit too vigorously.

Same with the Monaros, Toranas, Chargers etc of that era, all worth a small fortune now but relatively cheap back then.

We had a Leyland P76 that we used as a bush basher, even those piles of &*^% are worth a small fortune now.

Yep, specifically designed to hold a 44 gallon drum.

My best mate was working for a farmer who had one parked behind his chook pen. We asked him how much he wanted for it, and he said we could have it as long as we fixed his chook pen. We had a closer look and it was literally forming one wall of his chook pen, so we dragged it out and replaced it with some chicken wire. Put a battery and some juice in it and fired it up. It had a massive leak in the cooling system somewhere, so we left the radiator cap off and kept a heap of water bottles in the car to top it up with. Eventually we took the bonnet off to make that process a bit easier.

Had many weekends of fun hooning around near the old Cedars Bridge area in Bundy with that thing.

Actually, if you got a good P76, it was a damned nice car.

Best ever was a 1971 LTD Galaxie with a 400 Cleveland, C6 box and 9" diffs. I had the motor overhauled, but still basically standard. It would do 0 - 100 kph in 6 secs flat. For a 2 ton plus car, that was bloody good. Mate was a cop and he tried to drag me one night in the patrol car, I'm still smiling. Don't know what numbers the HoHo's used to do, they were animals, and lighter, but I did like my 400.

I had one of those, The 400ci looks like a Cleveland but it is the 400 Munroe Motor, Fit the 351 or even better the 302 Cleveland Heads on the 400 and they go like stink, Gives them about 11.3/1 compression ratio but you need to run it on Super unless you use the open Chambered heads, The 400 has a tall block height than the 351 because it has 1/2" longer Stroke from memory ?
