Wow took the sdc 2300 for a drive yesterday evening ( reef hills )
Wow very windy but kept the flys at bay
No yellow few peices of trash .
Spent 20 minutes chasing a piece of lead shot
Was like picking pepper out of fly **** with boxing gloves on .
Found it ( dam it ) only lead .
The hunt continues .

The old look through the coke bottle on the side trick lol .
had a look see but know not this one .
Have a couple of very tiny round specimens of iron stone ( i think )
when looked at through the big eye magnifier .got with the dry blower
very difficult to even pan off as being round the heavy side always ended up looking at the bottom of the pan .
But as i take every thing home for a better look ( even rubbish that others leave )
not much gets away .
Not that there is much in my jar . The scrap metal drum is filling quickly .

The sdc can be like that definite scrap bin filler.
If you haven't got one already get a scoop. 5 times faster. If you can eliminate to a scoop full just keep shaking that bird shot and what not down into the bottom of the scoop. The old sdc with a scoop jiggling back and forth is a bit like electronic panning but a lot faster.
Also take out some shot brightly coloured find a nice quiet area and have a play with pinpointing on the ground and over the coil. Most of the sdc I've seen really charge up around an inch in from the outer diameter but have a look for a "hotspot" preference on your side of the detector. They are great at finding stuff but agree a pain to chase a tiny target round and around with especially if you've come from a more standardized detector.
