Found this grenade at Hargraves a while ago.
Can anyone remember these? And ball park year they came out?
Always wanted to find one.
Took ages to find one. Stoked it's not broken. :perfect:

Ok, if I can find another one out there, and I think I can, I will send it to the first person who can accurately identify it.
Approx year and maker, and type of lid it came with.

IF you had I fire in your throat!
Approx height is 150mm.
And I will mail this one. Happy to actually just find one after all the years searching.
I will put them down as bloody rare to collectors
Not worth much really, but hard to find

Yep, KB introduced them in about 1974/75.
Rumour had it the pull ring failed to seal properly and the beer was often flat.
Hence it was very short lived in design.
6 months...
Aussie icon if you ask me!
But it was the first of the "wide mouth " design concept!
That was appreciated by Aussie beer drinkers in the 70's!
PM sent to Moneybox for delivery etc.
:perfect:
I remember my old man bitching about them being flat when I was four years old!
Wasn't happy! Prawning at the time.
Back when you could catch 4kg in an evening without effort

Do you remember thei KB 750ml steel can tinnies!
They where the perfect size for making ice bricks for the igloo drink containers!
Think you just had had to smack them a little to get them in!
Feeling old....

I remember the first game of VFL I went to in the late 70`s with a school mate and his Dad. His Dad and mate drank the 4 X 750 draught cans each by half time so we could have a better view for the 2nd half  Fitzroy at home can't remember who they played or who won but I've never forgotten standing on those cans :Y:

Yeah, I was sitting on the roof of my car at the foreshore in Perth drinking a 750 Fosters Can,
people were giving me funny looks.

Later found out it was illegal to drink in Public ! :8

Then plastic glassware in the pubs !
