I need a bit of help here  I've looked at the exempt waterways list, seems I've broken a few laws in the past  anyways I'm wondering if there is a list of allowed waterways somewhere or do I have to sit down with a map and the list of exempt rivers and try and collate my own ?
cheers Keith

Thats pretty much it. if its not on the list, go play

I keep a copy of the list on my phone and check it if I'm not sure, too many to easily remember, especially if you're poking around somewhere further afield than usual.

You will find that there are gold bearing Creeks not on the list where prospecting is prohibited.
For example a gold bearing creek within the Alpine National park as all prospecting is prohibited within the boundaries of that National Park.

Still gotta do your own research to find that info though everywhere you go. The infos out there and most maps usually show borders of private and crown, but ya gotta look it up to be sure. If you can't find info, then mabey don't dig there or do some door knocking
