where best place to Highbank. West vic (creswick area)

my local creek has dried up, looking at new location around Creswick as a friend said there panned out there and got all up in a day just over 3 grams. problem is he wont say what creek or were about just around Creswick.
any one know where a good creek and location to go to get good colour out that way?

iv been on Geovic and the whole Creswick/clues area is rick but what creeks.

Creswick, theres 2 .. Slatey and Cottys ..... Creswick is that .au tho, just check geovic and old maps, pick a spot, dig, pan in a puddle, you will find yellow....

Highbanking this time of year but, your gunna struggle to find enough water to bank out of. There is a selected few dams scattered around the area which always holds water, but unless you know the area and tracks you'll struggle to find enough water to even pan out of.

Start of slateys creek road, up near st georges, there is a dam which always holds water, thats the easiest to find. Search my posts and you'll see a Google Earth pic ive posted with the location. Just classify buckets down, take em to the dam and pan, or bust out a small banker and process it threw that.
