different looking stone mate not sure keen to hear what it turns out to be could be large garnet

It has to what it looks like calcite on it but the most tiniest bit though. The black stuff looks like galena and garnet not sure about the red though.

Looks pretty much like a Garnet to me, though I'm not that experienced with Garnets. Cool find, any more there?

Alright thanks guys for the information there is another rock the and I don't know anything about it will post a pic soon.

Not % 100 sure by the photo
But to me it looks like hardened sap from a gum tree
In summer the sap drys out and crystallizes
It also gives of a red/orange color through light
Just another thought if its not rock

Asked the relative and they said it came from South Australia.
