I'm computer illiterate to start with , takes me ages to even type a word , single digit type stuff , single finger , I'm not really a stone hunter but the other half is super keen to look for sapphires etc in rivers , which means im going to have to dig basically to China , I've got no idea where to start or how to do it , but if it makes her smile what can I do , I'm into more hunting and fishing , im old school and would rather call than text , or use a uhf cb radio which is one of my strong points , I ended up signing up here due to the vast amount of info and the helpful info I found when lurking , all in all I can't imagine anybody wanting to give away nor do I expect any help or info re grabben gullen but that's where our first trip will be tomorrow in a hope to find some colour in a sieve , but I must say that the info on here and Wal n lizs vids are a great start to what may seriously become an addiction , either way if there's anything I can help with feel free to ask , if not keep up the good work and keep the greeny informed as it is much appreciated and helps to keep the cook happy , cheers and happy prospecting with the best of Irish luck to you all , regards Olmate

I started typing this reply at too two 2 . Thir30AMam and hoping to get it away before too long,... there is no hope for you now(you were addicted when you were lurking), you'll just need the wifey to move over a bit so you can shut down her facebook and get more time here on the forum for yourself(ha), It's OK they love looking at this stuff while you type anyway,...speaking of which I better stop typing now as my tow toe is starting to cramp again and it's 2 too hard typing with the other one.
Cheers and welcome Olmate.

Welcome Olmate,

There's plenty of reading here about Grabben Gullen that should answer most of your questions?

I have seen you around a lot because I am always saying to my boys:

"Look over there, what's Olmate doing"

or "Olmate better get off that ladder before he goes arse over"

or "I wonder if Olmates getting any gold over there"?

I see you everywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And if I every get to meet you, the best thing is I wont forget your name. i.e. "Gday Olmate how things been"!!!!!!!

Hope you find some sapphires to make the day worthwhile.

Cheers

RS

G'day Ol'mate

Similar to yourself a Grabben Gullen stop is now being worked into our trip after my wife caught glimpse of the shiny blue stone in a Wal n Liz video. Personally very glad , for it as it gives us something to look forward to which we can do together , where as the countless hours I spend detecting is no fun for her . I have found the forum fantastic with most willing to share their knowledge , and as can be seen in a couple of posts above , a few cunning linguists :D to keep us entertained whilst learning.

Good Luck

Thanks heaps to everyone for the welcome , much appreciated and enjoying the site and have now found a new hobby
And just quietly probably as much as the other half , and will definitely be going out again

Time to sort out this profile thing
