Hi guys... we are gold ,gem ,and treasure hunters from Canberra. Detecting and hi banking for gold is high on our priority list of things to do when the weekends arrive. We also have spent much of the last 50 years chasing gold, sapphires and precious gemstones...so i guess that says we're probably no spring chickens. We film some of our adventures for our you tube channel " WalnLiz " and try to help out as many newcomers to this great hobby as we can. Great to see some familiar faces on the forum and look forward to sharing info and stories....Cheers Wal.

Hey Wal, to upload images just click on the Image button which will bring up a window, in that window are 3 links to popular image hosting websites, simply upload your image to one of those then paste in the link that they give you. Once you've done it a couple of times its pretty easy. Let me know if I can help.

Hi Steve.....Dubbo is just up the road a bit in fossicking terms...we travel to all states and have just got back from traveling through Victoria chasing Peridot at Mortlake, Moralla smokey quartz crystals, Crooked river gold and a quick scoot through the Golden Triangle...Hope the heat isn't knocking you guys around too much. g'day, hunting the yellow....haven't been to Powtown yet.... only through the Beechworth / Eldorado /Ovens district looking for sapphires....to say this area is a let down would be an understatement....the sieves we use up here are way to big for the tiny stones they have there....and that's 1/8" sieves. certainly be a long time before i head back that way. However the area is not far from the Crooked River and that's a magic spot for gold. What do they find at Powtown...??? Might be worth a check when next time I'm down in Vic detecting....Cheers Wal.

I have enjoyed you youtube "movies" particularly the making of a high-banker. Just a question. I have been able to source most items for construction but I am looking for a supplier of the flexible flat hose that runs from the pump to the high banks as well as the connections (i inch?).
