I hit the treasure trove today with Dakks, Dirt Ferret and Jarhead1775
for one hell of a hunt.
It was a warm one but with our enthusiasm so high we were not going to
let the heat deter us, so off we went.
The morning was full of finds in some new spots we tried with coins, badges
The usual BB's and even some matching Dogtags one of the boys scored
which I will let him tell the story so you'll have to keep an eye out for more posts.
I couldn't believe my eyes half way through the hunt as a large rising sun popped out
Of the hole in front me and I called the boys over for a quick look before
Handling it.
I was in disbelieve as we were only joking around talking about Large hat badge
RS's on the way to the site.
Sometimes I suppose it's meant to be hey!
The day went on with shillings,6ps, a nice 1940 Mercury Dime, a Buffalo Nickel
a really cool large Us Army Button in perfect nick
a couple of collar badges and the usual gear.
Luckily we had a little rain and a nice breeze to keep things
Cool from time to time.
I just wanted to pass on my thanks to the boys it was a real pleasure
