US Coins

Just wondering how many US of A coins people are finding on the old WW2 sites. I found my first US coin the other day a 1942 One cent coin but out of all the coins I have found this is the first US and have kind of been expecting more.

At a WW2 site I found a Malay $1 and an American quarter together. I was over the moon with war time coins. Then I checked the dates...

Those certainly look weathered enough to be older coins, though am forgetting that was nearly 24 years ago - geez I feel old now. :8
