a mate found these the other day and the only thing I can think of is that they are 2 up coins. they both have a 'k' on one side and an 'x' on the other and are near identical size to a 5c piece.and appear to made of copper. any other guesses?

I always thought that two-up coins were pennies and some had a white X on one side to differentiate the head from the tail at a distance, just sayin.

yeah I have seen the pennies with the white cross on one side and that is all I have heard of as two ups but its all I can see these being used for unless the 'k' means one thousand 'x'. maybe one thousand 'pennies'. one can only hope.
