Hi All,
I have been really enjoying the great and detailed info on this site. I have just had a short stay around Nundle and had a small amount of success finding sapphire and flake gold. We are heading down to Wee Jasper this week and I will be sure to apply as much advice from this site as possible. Just wanted to say "thanks" for getting me off on the right foot

Thanks Wal! I have been watching your You Tube videos, that's what first got me interested...the one from Grabben Gullen, you guys seem to do this so easily. All I got from my visit down there was a short chase from a red belly.

Look forward to maybe crossing paths one day.

Perseverance and a long shovel handle for the red bellies is all that's required out at GG Kev. It takes several trips out there to grasp where the sapphires are now deposited.

The last 2 big floods have changed the ball game big time, and where before the sapphires were on the creeks' bedrock, they have now
been ripped from there and re-deposited under the loose washes up the bank. A lot of test sieving is now required, but once you get onto a run the rewards can be eye opening.
