After many years since finding a Half Farthing at Creswick I have managed to complete the set.
All are Queen Victoria Head and is the first complete set registered with PCGS only the 1844 was found with the detector. Beautiful small coin couldn't help but look for other dates.

The first 5 Coins
cheers DB

How is there not a more appropriate Folder for this post than General Chat ?
Surely treasure Coin and relic works better

Hey deep blue, I just had another look and the first coin looks male but you said they are all Queen Victoria head. I take it that the first coin is the last of his reign and then her reign started?
Very nice set mate.

Your definitely right George IIII crept in because I got carried away.
That's the complete set of Queen Vic the hardest coin to get was the 1854 in good condition.
Next set is Quarter Farthing only one coin to go.

Well Done Deepblue !

I've got some I will stick on auction here as one lot if there is any interest ?
1806 George 111 farthing
1828 George 1111 half farthing
1844 Victorian half farthing
1913 third of a farthing

I have a George V1 farthingwhich has a wren on the reverse side and dated 1942, it is part of a very small pocket knife, I think my dad used it to clean out the bowl of his pipe.
DB what could you buy with a 1/4 farthing in the day.
Mackka

Next to nothing at a 1/4 of a penny and 48 to a shilling. You can see why they got rid of them. If you find a 1844 full farthing then it would be worth something.
cheers DB

It certainly has been a long time one back operation, one shoulder operation. Now retirement still get out but don't last as long.

Any time you want to try some new spots drop me a line Andy, I've done heaps of research on new spots.

Thanks DB. Will do. I've got a couple of researched new spots to share too. One up your way, sought of, that I found on a drive one day and swore I had to get back to. It's a bit remote and the shedding reef is not shown on any maps. Only a fault line is. Definitely needs to be explored. Cheers

Ok Andy, been venturing a bit further out lately lot around Inglewood and Redbank.
Cheers DB
