I recall my 1st computer was a 32K Micro-bee, cassette deck for recording programs and about all you could do was write a random number program and stuff like that. No windows back then. Just to try and get a photo these days to be under 32k is difficult! Boy have things changed.

I remember while working for a US computer company, the very first billboard with a http://www address....

It was located on highway 101 just outside Palo Alto which is part of Silicon Valley and then the web was still considered the realm of nerds (but changing)

Not even the wildest predictions guessed the we would be accessing the web via our mobile phone..

Who would have guessed

Bazz

No

A silicon chip embedded in our body that acts as a credit card or payment card & identity card . point your finger , enter a pin and away you go

drivers license details also included

tracking device included for crime solving

also used to calculate your fresh air consumption tax based upon your location at the time and your ranking in the global network hierarchy

your wages will be credited to your tax office bank account and they deduct your tax free income and release it for spending after a 10 day delay while the deposit clears

GST will be 95 % by then

and the dark entities taking over this earth will erase your account balance and place you into a hypnotic like state of suspended animation if you speak their name ...... LOL

:p

I know I am old.. tried to rent a car with cash..no way that I could without the plastic.. I pay everything by cash... It will not be long and cash will be a thing of the past.. I hate cards and the ridiculously high tech that is taking over.. part robots are real.. a lot of my old customers have new bits fitted thru their bodys.. the modern car was designed to remove as much money as possible from the buyers pocket.. far too many hoodats to stuff up increasing the chance of mech failure and keeping the fools that buy them broke... yep save money on fuel, buy a new car.. after the upkeep, depreciation ect it is cheaper to drive an old V/8.

I remember the day I was introduced to the internet in about 1995 it would change how we do things.

Back then we had the 28.8k dial in modem and windows 3.11/95.

You will get excited as soon as you hear the modem dial tone connecting to your internet provider which was labyrinth, alphalink or netspace.

The technology itself has been around since the 60's.

E-mail itself is old and was widely used by universities and government institutions.

What gave us what we have today was the ability to view text and images today as we know it via the web browser and this was developed in
in 1989 - 25 years ago.

For this we need to thank the man himself Tim Berners-Lee for the HTTP (hyper text transfer protocol) which connected the browser to the internet
and HTML (Hyper Text Markup language) which converted code via the browser to what you see from the server via the domain name.

I started my first online Business in about 1996. I would do a price check at the green shed then have the pager go off for an order of 10 Blank CD's which
I sold for about $10 each and delivered COD advertised in the computer magazine. There was no way to do payments online back then especially for us Aussies.

The internet in Aus did not really start to take off until about 2005/06.
