I had a similar discussion with Mrs Deepseeker recently about my time on the forum and going away detecting for the day every couple of weeks or so.

I said to her that firstly, she has her forum groups that she belongs to, and she often watches a movie on her I-pad at night with her headphones on.

Secondly, I explained that for most of us blokes, by nature we are hunters and gatherers/ risk takers still, that's how we define ourselves, and we need to express that in some way. Some guys chase other women, some guys blow all their money on fishing and boats chasing fish, some have to answer the call of the wild and spend all their money on 4wd's and guns to go shooting. Others need to gamble to take risks and get a buzz. I don't do any of those things.

I disappear for the day every few weeks and wander around on my own digging holes, then come back home to her. We are what we are, and we can't be no arer ower:
