Well, after joining the other day, I'm a bit more organised: changed my avatar ...no longer a grey blob ...now I'm a ROCK !!
That is a bit more appropriate don't you reckon ?
I've had a detector for ages but never took looking for gold too seriously; more for the enjoyment of the bush and the company of like minded people. I love all the books written about the early days in WA. I must have read them all.
I'm retired now and was fortunate to have had work that took me to station country in the WA Goldfields. Once you get that red dirt on your boots, there's no turning back.
I now have a small lease with a shed on it which I'm trying to make a little more liveable ...a bit of solar power and shade for the stinking hot summers but no water supply .. only rain water which has been very thin on the ground ..and roof !! Luckily, I can cart water from a supply just a few clicks away.
I've given myself quite a challenge here for this stage in my life but I can't say I'm bored !
There are other occupied leases not too far away and the guys are always willing to help out when I ask.
I think my Father would be proud if he could see me ...though he really wanted his daughter to wear frocks and do girly things !
I must have inherited some genes from his Father who spent all his life as a prospector; from the 1890's to the late 60's.
That's it for now but I'll have plenty of questions to ask as I go along. :rainbow:

welcome it sure sounds like you are having some fun and that is the main thing
