Went out this morning and first cab off the rank was a silver ring with a red stone.
Went to a spot I have never tried before but thought there might be some age to the area.
First coin is a $2 sitting there looking at me.
Thank you I said.
On the way back to the car around a big gumtree got a loud signal and thought oh another bottle top.
Moved about 2inches of dirt and out pops a 1933 penny , I was happy with that.
Moved the gofind around and it starts singing like a bird.
Pulled two more pennys and 7 halfpennys in a spot no bigger than a dinner plate.
And the icing on the cake underneath these was a 1944 threepence my first.
Tried a spot on the way home for 2 more $2 coins a twenty cent and a ten.
Oh and don't forget the fidget spinner.
Cheers rod

all of the pre decimals were in great condition not crusty at all .
Just a rinse under the tap when I got home.

Well worth the time and effort I'd say :)

Congratulations on your first threepence :Y:

Congrats on the threepence, that's one lucky tree to find so many predecs lying under it. Might be worth a second more detailed run around the tree to pick up on any less obvious coin targets. :Y:

Back from a time when kids used to climb trees and people looked for a shady tree to read under. Before the Internet was a thing....
