I listened to nearly half of this thing and I've seen enough. It sounds like the Perth Mint is short of physical stocks of silver. Well that just fits with everything in WA at the moment. Nobody has stock because everything traded is trading at record rates and nobody can keep up. Freight deliveries have never been so bad because they can't keep up either. I think this guy is just a :poop: stirrer and best ignored.

Shame on you Phil for bagging this brave man , you don't understand it seems & you only looked at half of it and missed the hole point ? , I thought better of you !

Stupid reply :N:

You might be right there but I didn't see you make the same comment when Woolies and Coles couldn't keep up their commitment to providing the essential service of :poop: paper on a roll. If demand outstrips supply any business can be caught short.

I did watch it, you never know when someone is going to give you a glimpse about something you should know.

It was interesting but too many variables for me to get involved.

The markets often go short - selling shares and materials that they don't have. This is called derivatives - a damn risky business in my view and second hand experience.
They promise to buy them back at a certain price on a set date. If it goes up. they lose. If it goes down they gain.
I have a brother and a mate (both competent share brokers) go bankrupt trading derivatives. My brother used to lecture on the share market. My mate committed suicide as he'd lost everything. He was damn smart, but they both got greedy and went way too far.

Retail silver shortages have no bearing on cme silver stores. Totally different beast. CME deliverable bars are 1,000 ounce silver bars iirc and there is no shortage of those atm as far as I know, unless things have changed very recently. I haven't been keeping an eye on gold or silver for quite a while tbh.

Last week told they would ship some...

Still not delivering to me yet.

If in doubt, just call them and try to order for a delivery, sign up and try to order for a delivered ingot, ask when guaranteed delivery will be.

Not knocking them mind you, just you have to be careful these days of ANY place you trade with.

By the way they also own ABC Bullion - all phone numbers point to Perthmint but answered as ABC Bullion, I think Melb branch answer their Vic number.
.
.
Perth Mint - I could not order ingots or 'allocated', happy to sell me 'unallocated' for quite awhile now.

Although backed buy the WA Govt, my understanding it is an 'insurance policy' when reading the fine print on the sales and storage.
I dont feel that we have been given everything straight up, so I am happy to err on the side of caution

My 2c

We need gold bullion atms like overseas.

Don't know about the phone numbers but ABC Bullion is owned by Pallion https://www.pallion.com/brands/ ABC Bullion does not sell unallocated only allocated or minted.

We and other clients received an email from them recently assuring us that their bullion supplies were not being impacted and they could supply.

When I called the ABC - Melbourne office and they were willing to take an order to 'supply', then I asked when it would arrive "please check stocks".
The woman came back sheepish and told me they were out of stock with no time frame for a few weeks, however I could still order it from her...
I told her I was chasing Perth Mint for silver also and they had none, then I asked if they were attached to Perth Mint, I was told 'yes'.
ABC woman told me they get their bars cast by PerthMint and stamped by PerthMint with their ABC stamp, commercial reality is that it is likely possibly to be true
and it is not necessarily a bad thing either.

Maybe I misunderstood somethings she said, or she misunderstood what i asked of her...

I did look up your link and have a better understanding now, thank you.

I am not arguing anything just putting up what I experienced.

Online to PerthMint right now, in my account looking at buying Silver bars - only 'reservable bars' - 1000oz, or Pool allocated / Unallocated
NO 'allocated' bars, any size - but you can buy '1000oz reservable bars'.... hmmm :/ (sounds a little like unallocated 1000oz bars to me)

ABC, I just called Melbourne and apparently now they have some 1kg silver bars in stock, I was transferred to Sydney to be quoted cost of delivery of
2x 1kg bars silver ABC Bullion + delivery @ $50 including insurance via TNT to Adelaide.
So maybe they do have stock, but I would be waiting up to 2 weeks for the delivery.
:/

We really are in a mixed up World currently.... once the kids are home, I'm having a glass of wine :)

Yeah take a brave group to take enough physical silver to make a dent in it, but the world needs dreamers.

As an aside I visited a working silver mine while in SAmerica, there was a great big idol of El Diablo they paid tribute to underground. Most of the miners died before they were 40 and had their boys work beside them as mine hands. Was an eye opener. Often wonder if its still like that.

THOUGHTS?
Thinking face

I have been informed that Perth Mint have a problem selling 1,000 ounce bars to retail customers who walk into their physical premises.

Occupational, health & safety regulations say that staff can only lift 30kg, yet 1,000 ounce bars are 32kg!

ARE YOU BUYING THIS?

I did a check on the weight & it's 31.1 Kilos per 1000 ounce bars ! so the 1.1 extra kilo stops sales :8

Now how about this recent photo released to show they have silver .
