Test panning - Dry blowing technique

Has anyone got a good technique for test panning in the dry?

Not sure if dry blowing with a straw or other simple device is feasible but any advice would be appreciated.

We test pan with Garrett Super sluices over in WA and get at least 80% of the gold in the pans. Plenty of colours to check the area for further potential. You need a pan with deep traps to do it successfully, and the shallow ribbed pans don't hack it.

The straw method works a treat and we've found many nuggets from straw tested bedrock bars....quick...simple...effective,

Dry panning is a real skill , I've tried it but take for ever just to do one pan . 8.(

I'm working on a hand operated device that will concentrate down a 20 litre bucket of unclassified dry material to one litre in minutes .
