Hi everyone,
I've been exploring the northwest of NSW for the past few days and recently discovered an intriguing area along the top of a granite ridge. The location is quite remote and required a strenuous hike through dense bush and large granite outcrops. At the top, I found a small clearing scattered with granite pieces embedded with quartz crystals. Most of the crystals are milky, but there are some completely transparent ones among them.
I started digging in this area and uncovered some stunning milky quartz crystals, many of which exhibited artichoke formations. Unfortunately, I was near the end of my trip and didn't have enough time to continue digging.
I've been wondering whether this area has been prospected in the past or if the scattered material is naturally occurring. I've attached a video of the site and would greatly appreciate any insights or information you can provide.
I’ll make another post shortly for what I dug
Thanks in advance!
