Finally some calm weather, so I can get the seal suit on and flop around in the ocean like shark bait.

9k gold with opal. 15mmx10mm stone

Nah it's a doublet, one edge is a bit chipped but perfectly salvagable if it was reset with a bit more gold around the rim.
The colour is amazing, the photo doesn't do it justice and it's a bit dull from the sand scratching it. Lots of fiery red in it.
The setting is really old, suspect art nouveau era
