Hello guys
Just starting crushing Quartz and I'm finding a lot of the ????
I find a lot in my pan it does sink to the bottom but its very small and lots of it.
Anyway will post a couple of pics.

Put some of it on an old teaspoon any let itif its gold it stay goldy colour sit over a gas stove for 10 min If its pirite it will go black , If its iron oxide it will go dark grey
if its gold it will stay goldy colour

sorry to disappoint you but short answer is no you can however do some tests the most simplest test would be to crush a small amount of it if it breaks up its not gold. gold is in a way very much like lead when you hit it it flatters out like a pan cake but dose not break into shards/bits like quartz dose or pyrite I would believe from my experience it would be mica and clay in between milky quartz crystals very common on the goldfields especially above the oxidised zone of a mine.
