ok....i work in recycling....we destroy at the least 50 cars a week...amongst ...other stuff...
...so im third in line if that makes sence..for getting stuff outa cars
cos.... tow driver at accident get first dibs....after hes driven away....
then to auction house...after insurance.thats 2nd dibs...searched again.....
...so i get 3rd looks,,,,LOL... but sometimes u find stuff....

Superb Indian head penny with a nice cabinet tone . Can’t see too many blemishes from the pick , top find.

thank you..........but technically not found correctly for this forum as it was in a car...so cannot go for find of the month..would have been lost forever if i didnt see it ... still very happy with it ...evan tho its not worth that much,,,thanks for yer opinion.....dave.................

Hi Gassman,
The coin is fine for the forum & thanks for sharing it.

It just doesn't technically meet the COM or FOM entry conditions unfortunately
*COM entry condition:
"The coin entered must have been detected and recovered by the member entering it."
*FOM entry condition:
"MUST NOT be a single identifiable Coin."

As it's a single coin that was found cleaning out a car & not detected unfortunately it's not valid for either.
At this late stage of the competition for June it's too late to change the rules to accommodate it, it would also be unfair to the other entrants that have met the current conditions.
We'll certainly look at how or if we can make a similar find eligible for future competitions.

It's still a great find, no matter where or how found
