Hello guys,

I'm Jeroen, 28 years old from the Netherlands (Holland).

I have been prospecting for gold some times over here in the Netherlands, but you won't find more than one or two tiny tiny flakes in your pan.

Went up in the Alpes in Switzerland and Austria and found a bit more tiny flakes

Would love to go to Australia some time to look for gold, haha but my girlfriend won't allow me to :D

Greets Jeroen

Hi Jeroen, welcome to the forum. You don't have too much land to play with in Holland. Over here we have lotsa a land flakes mixed in as well.
Good luck in your ventures
Jaros. :p

From one Dutchman to another - welcome.
Ive spent a lot of time in Holland, such a beautiful country!
Congratulations on your finds, i wasnt aware there was really any gold in Holland.
Welkom, hebben en goede dag!

Welcome Jeroen! I'm from Germany so not too far from Holland. I moved to Australia when I was 4 to avoid the family tie situation you're experiencing  Here's an idea.. Tell your girlfriend about the beautiful beaches, White sands, Turquoise oceans, surfers ;) etc and then while she's lying on the beach in her bikini you can go searching for gold or atleast osme coins! Hope to see you around on the forum. Cheers :)

Holland is a great place, lived there for a while when I was younger. It would be good to see some pictures of your adventurers Jeroen.

Welcome Jeroen, my parents are Dutch and migrated to Australia nearly 60 years ago, I have friends in Holland and have visited 20 years ago, if you ever get the chance to come to Australia it looks like you'll have plenty of places to stay going by the amount of other Duchies here.
My folks always welcomed people to come and stay when they were coming over on holidays and if you get the chance one day my door will be open mate.

Ja, hallo Jeroen.
An other clogwog here :D .
I lived in Den Burg Texel until I was 10, then we migrated here. I'm so grateful to my parents to have moved here...

Welcome to the forum mate. We've had so many Dutchies cove visit over the last 30 years & they all loved it in Oz.

Where abouts in Holland are you & where do you find gold there? I only remember the slooten being fairly mirky water.
What gear do you use? Sluice/pan?

Looking fwd to hearing your gold stories.

Groetjes - Marty

Hi Jeroen,

Welcome, my wife is Dutch and during our summer we seemingly always have some family staying with us - at least 8 out of the last 10 years! We had our last visitor leave only a couple of weeks back to be back home in time for for Sinterklaas.
