hello.new here..getting either Ace 250 or the minelab 305 in a few days
but after reading posts from this fourm im leaning towards the 305
im sure when i get started ill have a heap more Qs :lol:

Woohoo..bought the 305 today..raced down to the local park found $1.15 and many bottle tops.
Good start i thought,had it set to all metal ,Searched for around 2hours

Keep practicing,
and don't be scared to turn the sensitivity down especially in parks, you can only dig 2-3 inches deep so you don't need it to point out all the stuff at 10-12inches.
I like the sensitively down around 10

so far finding 305 very easy to use,already picking up the diff sounds the metals make
but says coil is waterproof ..dosnt look it,would it be safe to use in shallows at the beach?
