Starting new adventure

Hi all I've had a SDC 2300 for a few weeks and my dad is getting a minelab 5000. Were both are brand new to the game but thought may as well go all the way. I live in Mackay and have started out looking at old gold mines with no luck yet . if any one is keen to share tips I'm ready to learn. Cheers

Anyway, I'd do a search on here myself anyway I can (but the search button works well).
