Hi

My name is Ron and my wife and have retired from full time work about 7 months ago. We have met some folks on our travels who prospect as a hobby and thought this could be a great hobby to take up. Joining this forum to see what we need to know before we start.

Hi Ron, welcome prospecting is great fun. Gets you out the bush meeting some great characters and you may find some gold.
My advice would be join a prospecting club in your area.
The club members will give you advice and help point you in the right direction.
Where are you based?

Good luck

Welcome Ron & Wife....a good start might be in the main menu...

Peruse the sections you may be interested in, and when a query occurs to you, try out the Search function (magnifying glass logo top left corner of screen) and see what others have had to say about it...

Join in topics where information aligns with your interests...

Much to learn, and plenty here to help...so avoid overload, have a bit of a read before jumping in head-long :D (avoids headaches lol).

Good luck in your adventure...

Welcome Ron and your wife. Have a good read of the forum topics and depending on your choice of relic or gold hunting you can get tips on detectors and pinpointers as well as coils.
