Sony Xperia Z3 Mobile phone..........

G'day Forum members,

I'm looking at getting a Sony Xperia Z3 phone I've checked EBay out but all the sellers are selling from China so the 240v chargers are not the AU type. I've also seen the sellers that are selling these same phones but are based in Australia...... The wrong 240v chargers as well.
Anyone know where I can look for this phone with the AU 240v charger that's cheaper than the retail price?

If the sellers are Australian based, and selling phones with non-Australian plugs, I think you will find that is slightly illegal.

All smartphones should now be compatible with any brand or make of micro usb charger lead, or wall charger. So just buy the phone you want, and buy a charger seperately, they are dirt cheap.

I'll be doing that for sure now. I've checked out that two AU based sellers are selling for over $150 cheaper than the retail price.

Be certain you are getting a genuine article. I'm seriously looking at the Z2, my wife has a original Z and its great.

How can you tell if the phone is genuine or not?
Do you think buying from eBay is a good idea?

I've heard the Z2 had issues, but the Z3 is a much better phone so far with better reviews.

I don't know, I'm nervous about it myself. I think the z2 is probably going to be too big for me, its a 5.2" screen - the Z1 is 5" and my current phone is 4.5". I need it to fit in my top pocket :/

TBH I buy a lot of stuff from ebay, I guess just look at the feedback critically (even 'positive' feedback) and make a decision from that.

I had a look at the Sony Xperia Z3 compact myself and it's not bad. Now I'm thinking I might get this one instead of the flagship Z3 and I found a place selling them for $530. Not bad considering the flagship Z3 costs $700-850.

Both of my kids have these phones and love them. The best thing is that this phone is waterproof.

Ended up getting the Z1 compact. Price was right plus could get it locally.
