Bloody dirtbags, any goldfield location I've visited unfortunately has had the modern day lazy arse who's paid a visit or 10 before I have.

I see a lot of this out here in the NT, especially when people go camping over the Finke Desert race weekend and then leave their camp areas absolutely filthy when they leave to go home. It is one of the reason that the station owners have been threatening to stop camping along the track over the Finke weekend.

Simple, if you bring it you take it back out with you, leave nothing but footprints.

I think the majority of people are lazy @#$%S! I would like to think in the Gold Detecting fraternity there are more people who care about the environment than people who don't.

And we see it everywhere we go, everywhere we detect. But not only that, in the city and on my own street.

I live in the country and I have to say I have never seen more rubbish on any roads than in the country. What makes someone think it is OK to throw out the Macca's bags and drinks, cans, bottles, cig packs etc as they drive along? If they are somehow able to get a licence and drive, I do believe they could challenge their brain matter more when it comes to littering. They must know better but don't care. Inconsiderate F*&#%S.

OK I feel a little better now until I find my next half a dozen cans and bottles when I go detecting.

You can really see the old rubbish when they burn the sides of the roads in the bush, broken glass and bottles everywhere, as well as all the cans, will be a goldmine for someone in the future when glass and aluminum is expensive ,.... people been emptying their cars of trash as they drive along for a very long time too.
what are they all leaving behind for our future offspring to deal with, even all the cr@p that we put in our bins that we are forced to buy just to live now makes me sick. :|

we don't have much gold in S.A. but with our deposit system you can see the difference along roadsides and campsites. still have some issues with some illegal dumping but at least its a step in the right direction. other states should follow the lead.

I just cant fathom how, or why soneone would do such a thing. Its not careless, its not funny, its not even lazy.. just pure maggot. Nothin but a bit of dirty snot that a child wouldnt even eat
