Topic relocated to relevant section.

What are mainly looking at detecting - gold or coins/jewellery/relics?

I think you will find the SDC would best suited to either gold prospecting and/or beach and underwater detecting. Considering how sensitive it is, and the lack of any form of discrimination, you'll be digging too much junk in parks etc. It could be done, but there are more suitable detectors for that purpose.

If you want to upgrade for general detecting vs prospecting, maybe look at a higher end VLF or multi-frequency detector (CTX, Deus, Etrac, Fisher F75 Ltd, etc). :)

If you want to upgrade from a At Pro to a top of the line coin/relic detector then I'd be looking at Fisher F75, Minelab CTX3030 or Whites V3i

If you want to look for gold in goldfields then buy a SDC2300
