Found today another very crusty pre dec penny,can only make out the date 1863 and a little detail on skirts,i think it may be British.

Good find. yes british. our coins were;nt minted until 1912 -ish. my best is 1867 . mbe a good area to re-check
carefully-slowly.

Good onya Ed80 nice 1863 Penny, one I found recently let go of a lot of the crap when I used my thumb nail to scrape at it,...old and worn already, nothing to loose in trying, and a thumb nail is as soft as hair when you think about it.
