Running the new highbanker!!

Thought id show you guys our first run with the new highbanker!! There was a lot of playing around to try and get it running the way i felt happy with and im sure that we will learn a few more things the more we get it out...some of you may have seen it already on youtube i just thought id post it on here to show that we are still active and get some conversations going!!!

This was our second run with the highbank, this time we took the kids and they even had a good crack at it!!! Later on we worked out that we were losing a little bit of very fine gold so now we have changed from the standard carpet to miners moss and are still yet to take it out and see how much better it will be catching the finer stuff...

Well done fellas.Welcome to the forum as well,you should find the moss better than the carpet.Its a great day when your out in the bush with the kids and your finding gold as well.Over half a gram in a couple of hours is pretty good.

Cheers mate... yea we got lucky in this stretch of river... we got a half G in the same area with the river slucie before we got the highbank and that was over a few weekends as we had to classify then walk up river to run it through, so thats why we decided to get the highbanker...
Should i still run the expanded mesh and the riffle strips on the miners moss??

Yeah mate keep running the mesh and riffles with the moss as they will keep the moss clamped down to stop the material from running underneath and out the end as well as form the vortexes needed to drop the gold into the moss.Does the moss have a backing on it?Is that a "Sluicy Australia brand highbanker?"

Ok thanx for that, ive seen so many people running with them and not with them so i wasnt to sure what the best way was...
The moss has the backing on it, i didnt know that when i brought it online, i didnt think it had a backing so i brought Vmat for under the moss but i guess i dont need it now..lol.. i was guna run the Vmat at the in front of the moss but the way the water comes down from the box i reckon it would just get washed away..
Yea it is mate, their pretty good little units.. from memory i think its the GS12, nice and easy to lug down the river, we have a backpack that it clips on which makes carrying it and the pump so much easier..

Yea cheers mate... i try to film as often as i can when we go out and then put it all together as soon as i can, as the kids love to watch them as well, so im sure youll see plenty more vids as time goes on..
