Hi people,

Kato (Miss 13 now) and I have been busy looking at local history trying to locate some choice places to detect.

This led us on a history trip that just grew and grew, we went to visit a local historic house that had been restored
and met some people that had kids who got involved in Roman Archaeology at Hadrians Wall in England.
This led onto conversations and a request by Kato for more information.
They emailed her some details and advice, how good is that?

So her love for this hobby has now turned into a possible start toward deeper history, I guess she needs to start saving
as it is a pay for doing labour of love.

The only saving grace is that she needs to be at least 15 yrs, but preferred 16 yrs before she can join in,
gives me time to get fit.
What a great opportunity to get some field experience.

The visit to the local restored house was a bonus as we found a photograph that shows her grandfathers land
before it was subdivided in the early 1930's, showing orchards and main roads as dirt tracks.
Now we understand why she is finding items in the local yards and footpaths - she has permission to search yards now
of local residences. :Y:

Cant wait for her to turn 16 and take me to the UK... ;)
