Just what aussie prospecting needs another nOOb tramping round the scrub.......too bad I have arrived!!
Picked up my AT pro today and finalised my prospecting kit for now, need more $$ before I can add more (my old army webbing comes in handy again)
Was told Garret is increasing prices shortly so i brought my purchase forward by a few weeks just in case.

dump the steal scoop and get a plastic :p
Its alloy and plastic so very light :)

I don't think Colmaca is concerned about the weight of the scoop - he's suggesting you use a non-metallic one, that can pick up dirt and be passed over the coil to help locate small nuggets.

Think that will be the case for most detector companies seeing our dollar is so crap.

About 8 months ago a White's SPECTRA V3i went for about $1700, now they are around $2450...
