It's great to be here. now a bit about myself.
I grew up the son of a Geologist (& keen prospector) & spent most of my early years being dragged around the country in search of gold; all the time armed with my crappy cheap detector; while I suspect my father used far more expensive gear.
So we are both getting old now; so i've decided to pick up a detector again & go prospecting with him, & learn as much as I can from him before he shuffles off into the afterlife.. He is very old school; in his 70's now; but i'm a bit of a ''young'' techie (40) so am going to use every tool available to me to research & see if i'm able to collect more gold than he usually does, He tends to do very well, sees things in rock formations that I have no idea about.
It's going to be a whole lot of fun & a huge learning experience; that's for sure.
