Ready for the two up game now

Well I got out for a swing for a couple of hrs today
And was only thinking that I haven't found a coin for a long time on the way out
Within 30 minutes I had my only bit of gold for the day in my hand
A 0.32 speci
Also my first speci for 2013
Couldn't find another
The ground was extremely noisy as we've had a fair bit of rain
Which turned the mud spongy and then it gets noisier
So I decided to work a slope between two surfaced areas I go to now and then
I was digging the usual trash
Then got a target that sounded slightly different
A couple of scrapes it was out
My first coin for the year in good nick
A 1936 Aussie penny had to check the date i was hoping for a 1930 :lol:
Then another popped out a foot away
A 1943 Aussie penny
So now I'm ready for two up wal :lol:

What a great start for 2013 Lbg ...was always on the lookout for a prospector with a decent set of two up coins. Have to definitely meet up as i was once told by a learned gold miner that the best way to find a good location was to toss a coin. ..always wanted to try it out to see if he was having a lend of me or not....Cheers Wal.

I reckon we toss those penny's as they are from the
2nd rush at wattle flat so we have the era to find the area :lol: Reckon it's a sign
I only know this cause I've found British coins there also

But barra fishin is something I like to do

And a little bit of gold is better than none
But was hoping this year would start off like last year finished
