Unless your sluice is quite small/narrow then that pump won't really do at only 100LPM. For around $200 you can get on from eBay that up to 183LPM.
 
Yea my bet is he wants something with a smaller size, lower weight and smaller outlet. The one you linked to is quite large (50cm+), quite heavy (29kg) has a large outlet (3 inch). I understand you don't have to run it at full thottle but the 1000LPM max flow seems like a little bit of overkill. I know a few people do use these but still think its overkill. Just my thoughts.
 
I am using a Fred Sims sluice , also a home made one about the same size but with a longer riffle run . So they arent big at all .
 
How are you going to feed the water into it Jeff. Looking at your pic that looks more of a river sluice and would need to be re designed to feed water via a pump.
 
Of course I will be adding a water delivery system in the form of PVC pipe with jets and attach it with brackets . ;)
