A few weeks ago I was at Oallen Forde

I set up and ran the high banker for a few hours then turned it off to do a cleanup

While my pump was off a guy turned up towing a caravan and parked it 80 metres away from me.

I started up the pump again and turned around to find the guy glowering at me like I had just ransacked his wife's pantry or something.

He tried telling me that I was breaking the law by making that horrible noise on a Sunday in a campground until I pointed out that the spot he had chosen to camp had been named "Fossickers Flat" for 150 years due to it being a fossicking area for fossickers.

I did apologise for disturbing his morning but he left me alone after that.

Just raising the point in case others get harassed in the same way you can always try that for a leveraging tool

I recall seeing the name "Fossickers Flat" on the BOM website , its where the water level meter is located and at a rough guess its ~~ probably ~ ~ not far from the forde

Probably :D

Yep the "fossickers flat" BOM guage is a few k's above Tallowa dam , I guess this guy would have no trouble starting up his genny to make a cappuccino eh!

The old parish maps of the Nerriga/Oallen area show that it is/was a proclaimed fossicking area.

Cheers
