Prospecting Newbie

HI All, I have had an interest in prospecting for a while but never had a detector, I knew my mum had one just had to wait to get it now I have the detector its a Minelab XT17000 run on 8 AA Batteries. I live in Reynella and want to go give it a go and go detecting where is the best place to have a go.

Welcome to the forum Scanner. The XT1700 was responsible for many a great gold find. A quick read through the forum posts will soon give you many locations close by your area to get some practice on the machine. If you need any advice just throw it at the members and I'm sure some answers will be forthcoming.
