im new at prospecting and gem hunting in wa
can anyone assist in where is a good place to prospect or find gems in WA

Well you are in a good state to prospect that's for sure.
Every state has a government web site that will give you all the info you will need.
It will show you on maps what minerals and gold are in which areas.
It will also have a page with advice and legislation you will need to know regarding your obligations.
In the NT, the website is "Strike" not sure what it is in WA, maybe tengraph?
Do a quick google search on fossicking WA.
