So I just got sprung.

I was washing the mud off my wheel arches from last weeks trip to Hill End and was surprised at the amount of quartz and ironstone trapped in the mud and was down to the last wheel so thought......why not.

As I was looking intently at all the pretty quartz in the pan the Mrs popped up behind me. I am sure she thinks I am going mad. :8

And the result :D

She is probably right, but if you're happy all is good.
Mine is convinced, you drive 13 hours & are happy with .5 grams. Different strokes!

Makes you wonder....
how much has been missed before....

Hahaha, but so true.

I can't help but think if I had collected it all I could have panned more gold than the nuggets I detected.

The mud up there is very sticky and the amount of stones plastered in the wheel arches was almost as surprising as finding the spec of gold.

Lol my missus is always cracking jokes about me panning the mud off the car, might just do it next time.. Who needs a sluice just get out and drive around in the mud then hose the car down into ya pan lmao

All the good stuff is probably on someone else's windscreen !
