So I've had a little idea and will see how it goes. I was going to write a post asking if someone can identify something for me, but I'd like to make it more interesting by turning it into a guessing game.

How to play:

Choose an object of any sort at your house which you CANNOT personally identify. This could be anything at all and we have to guess what it is. Sometimes a final answer may not be able to be identified, so the closest guess to or guess with best as possible description 'wins' the round and the 'winner' has to post an object they own which needs identification.

For an example, I will start it with a motor compressor thing that I bought for $10 as a restoration project which got sat aside. If I knew what it was it might give me motivation to start the work on it. Its 240v motor pulley driven, two horizontal pistons, and a psi gauge. Could be a compressor seems the answer but I'd like others oppinions or a better oppinion.

Photos can be used for a question or answer as well instead of descriptive text, but some text will help with identification.

Hope this works out  lots of you may know everything you have in your home, so go find something away from home which you would like / need identified. The object / thing can be absolutely anything, if your stuck on finding something, post anything for us to guess instead

Have fun :)

No identifying makers name or model #'s?

Might help if it's available.

Can't see the other end (the pulley end?) but with the brass outlet w/tap i''m guessing some kinda pump.

I'd say an early refrigeration compressor for a pub or shop.,...pre 60s though as I never seen one like that. :)

I have a few 'never seen one like that' items to show.. see how the thread goes. I'm thinking of just saying to post any object as well if you want to make it easier than an unidentified object..see what happen, let the people choose heh

Yeah the old pub one that I gave away a while ago to a resto mob had been changed into a compressor for my dad(I painted a few cars"slowly" with that one in the day) it just had the pipe work rearranged on it to go into a steel tank below it,... so I had added a water filter to it for spray painting,...yours just reminded me of that one a bit. :D
