hey everyone New to the site but been detecting around nearly 2 years now im only 24 but keen.. alotho ive been detecting almost 2 years i still havent found any gold :(
me and my girlfriend normally go out and camp a night every couple of weekends when we can get away.. ive tried everything to find gold, the detector works fine the settings are right,
even had the boys from coiltek come out and play with it and they found gold with my detector haha.. they said i wave spot on so its not the machine or the operation and i defiantly am never negative
im always full of energy and ready to dig holes.. anyway i was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of places to detect around maryborough or talbot or anywhere in the near vicinity as
i seem to be very good at picking the well flogged areas ( walk most the day and lucky to find a target..) Anyway i hope some of you could nudge me in the right direction and any advice would be greatly
appreciated! nice to meet you all too :) :D

Daisy Hill has always been worth a piece or two. Theres a lot of surfaced areas there and around the edges etc can be worth a try
spending the next few days ourselves up around Stuarts Mill and Avoca for a look see and a chillax. Good luck rossy207 hope you find some yellow :)

Like you I have been detecting for 2 years. Last year the wife and I took a last minute detour to Maryborough on our way from Qld to WA.(Really all we had intended was to check out that our gear was working ok and to stock up on any spares needed) Stopped in at coiltek and picked up a laminated map of the surrounding forest.

Long story short, followed some tracks on the map set up camp and went for lonnnnnggggg walks. Thousands of targets(mostly junk) but among them we found 9 small nuggets between 0.2g - 1.8g plus a lovely 12grammer which I nearly walked away from thinking it was yet another piece of surface junk as it moved with a scrape of the foot!!!

In summary, it is there, get back out, do the yards and don't give up........... Sorry if you were expecting the coordinates after only one post!!! ;)

Will be heading through again very early April and would be keen to meet up with any local members for a swing or two.

Cheers
