placer gold

hi guy
just wondering if i should be detecting in areas with placer gold? from my understanding this is gold that has been deposited by glacier ect, would the gold be more likely to be nuggets? and better suited to detecting any input would be appreciated

Placer gold to my knowledge is what we would refer to in Australia as Alluvials or alluvial gold. Placer seems to be the American term.
Depending on area it could very likely contain nuggets. Detecting suitability would again depend on area & if indeed the deposit is nuggetty, depth of cover etc. You would need to research each area & decide it's merit based on it's own characteristics.
