Place close to beach to use Walbanker - Nowra?

Hi all,

I want to go prospecting and the wife wants to go to the beach.
Is there a spot between Batemans Bay and Wollongong, where I could use the Walbanker and the wife and daughter can drive to the beach?
They said they would not mind driving 40Ks or so one way.

Was thinking around Nowra on the Shoalhaven river, but seems like it is all private land.
Has anyone got an idea on where it might be fun to go digging?

Hi Martin , Oallen Ford crossing on the upper Shoalhaven river would probably be the closest good spot for highbanking , but is a couple of hours drive from Nowra

Actually the forest of the kings way, on the north side near the river use to be a highly productive area, not sure now, but worth some research

was a nice trip.
not much water in the mountains though.

coffs harbour is not clse to you but it is the nearest to the coast i know of
