Hey

Can someone tell me if you can overlay a google map on to google earth?

Problem:
I'm investigating a site, in google maps I have got it nailed down but the satellite view is err! not great

But in GE the topo is more defined but the roads and tracks are less....

Can I get there with what I have? - Yes - just trying to get a better idea of what I'm in for

Thanks in advance

Hi Bazz,

Yes you can, I usually overlay a jpg image then stretch/skew/reduce the image to line up the features like rivers/roads etc, I have done this with images of old parish maps, geological and topo maps , its under add/image overlay on the toolbar.

Hi Bazza210

Yeah! Thanks for that, I've got a couple of "old" maps already overlaid, the track into this spot is supposed to be a bit tricky, and on both the googles it shows it as non existant :( In fact the googles disagree as to which side of the ridge the track is suppose to be: "go figure!"

It's a full day and then some just to get there, so to be turned back in the last 19k, well!!

Cheers
