Hello everyone. I will be arriving Australia next month. I decided to buy VLF type detector for start and I want to seek for gold using the metal detector. I would like to ask you for advice, which of gold detectors listed below, would be best for searching for gold nuggets:

Fisher Gold Bug pro / Fisher Gold Bug 2
Garret at gold pro
Minelab eureka gold

I have no experience, but a lot of enthusiasm :)

Or maybe You known, any PI detector up to 2000 USD?

I would agree with Sunriseboy if you want a PI. and for gold in OZ that would be the best Bet, so you need to look at the TDI SL and the TDI SPP, ok

Since the RE release of the GPX 4500 you can get some cracking deals on used minelab machine if you are lucky.

hope this helps,, john

Well Spotted Sir, now that has to be a good deal,

Yar, i tried to negotiate a deal, but we just couldn't meet and another had the goods he was after ahead of me.

I can't complain though, i already have one and it was only gonna be a backup....another will come along at the right time for me.

Cheers

Sure are. Got mine second hand , wasn't expecting to though. Was going to buy new but one came up at last minute so had to take it , couldn't be happier looks worse after me using it for 4 days than previous owner that had it for 10 months. Not sure if that means I'm a rough ******* or the previous owner was a bit cautious with his gear.
