Grandpa always said he would shoot any prospectors who came on his land.....would turn in his grave if he knew I had become a gold geologist. Prior to farming they were mostly timber cutters. Great grandma (who I met) was daughter of a transported Irish convict, great grandpa walked to the first gold rush in WA (Coolgardie) from Albany where he jumped ship - I remember him better.
