Update: To my disbelief, there was NO gold contained within this quartz specimen https://www.prospectingaustralia.com/forum/viewtopic.php?pid=63701#p63701
While having a dig in the Peel at Nundle yesterday I noticed a piece of quartz just off to the side of where I was digging, as always I picked it up looking for any visible gold (which there was none) and was about to toss it when I thought to myself "I'll just give it a quick wash just in case there's something in that little crevice", lo and behold after wetting the quartz it caught the sun and lit up like a Christmas tree
Honestly the above photo's don't do it justice at all, it's overcast here at the moment so it's not quite blinging at its best
