Hi

I have just joined this forum, however I have been fossicking all over Australia for many years and I am yet to make my fortune which does not worry me at all, I have recently returned to Nundle NSW and to my d elite there is still much gold to be found (alluvial) if you are willing to put the effort in, all fossicking is by manual means as mechanical machines are not allowed and rightly so.

The Caravan Park is first class and you do not have travel far to find some colour

:) :) :)

Welcome aboard smokey,

There's definitely still gold to be found in Nundle for those who want to work for it, however some decent rain wouldn't hurt to flush a little more through. Just on the subject of mechanical machines, obviously dredging is illegal no matter which way you look at it, but I think you'll find the use of motorised pumps is only "disallowed" in the designated / sign posted fossicking zones by order of Tamworth council. Standard NSW fossicking rules and regulations apply to the rest of the Peel (to my knowledge), although some of the locals would like you to believe otherwise.

I look forward to seeing you around the topics and might even bump into you one day down the creek.

Cheers,
Nugget
